Mission-driven only

I pick projects that help make humans' lives better.

Health care projects are closest to my heart, but positive impact comes in many forms. Take my client, goPuff, for example, which is a digital convenience store delivery tech company known for delivering Gatorade to hungover people and "munchies" to stoners. They are rebranding from "Saving you time" to "Saving the day" and shifting their focus to delivering home essentials like diapers to busy moms.

Freeing Up More Time for Global Health Impact

Project Management, Solution Architecture, QA Testing

A non-profit (WHCI) that offers HIV testing, mental health counseling, and other health care services for people in impoverished communities around the world uses an enterprise application to manage their clients and business processes. I designed and implemented solutions to inefficiencies that reduced time spent in operational activities so that staff was able to spend more time helping their clients.

Improving the Driver Experience

Project Management

A fast-growing digital convenience delivery service (goPuff) has matured from startup to nationwide household name. I am the Project Manager on a development team that is redesigning their driver app, put in charge of rallying the developers to deliver fast and flawless code and stunning UIs.

Creating Learning Opportunities in Spite of COVID-19 Chaos

Project Management, Business Analysis, QA Testing

An international education organization gives high-performing high school students all over the world a chance to earn college credit by participating in research programs with peers. I orchestrated website improvement projects for them, including building out a section of the site to advertise a free summer program offered in response to COVID-19.

Keeping Therapy Tech Afloat

Strategic Planning, Project Management, QA Testing

A therapy tech startup (Airapy) that once advertised having sessions in cafes and parks had to pivot to offer online video chat sessions due to COVID-19. I lined up branding and marketing support, drove QA testing, and oversaw the unfolding of the strategic IT initiatives to get them through this tough time.

Quelling Data Loss Fears

Project Management

I spearheaded a project to move a women's health practice (The Center for Women's Health) from an on-premise server to the cloud, while adhering to HIPAA compliance requirements.

Teaching Mental Wellness Skills in a Lighthearted, Social Format

Entrepreneurship, Facilitation, Community Building

Through my 2018-2020 startup, Skilled Not Ill, I taught small group workshops on mental health and wellness skills as part of a "mental health social club." I incorporated enjoyable, interactive activities and lighthearted discussion into each workshop. I built a community of over 900 participants and fans in the Philadelphia area. Check out case studies in the Time Capsule on the website.
